We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable IT Support Technician to join a multi-site company in Devon. This is more than just a support role – you’ll play a vital part in keeping IT systems running smoothly, supporting users at all levels, and working across a wide range of hardware and software.
What the role involves
• Tech Support – Install, configure and maintain hardware, operating systems, applications and peripherals.
• User Support – Assist users with technical queries, troubleshoot issues and offer friendly, effective guidance.
• Keep The Company Connected – Help ensure their network and systems remain secure and operational.
• Stay Organised – Log and track support tickets accurately and assist the IT Manager with admin tasks.
• Hardware & Software Inventory – Manage IT assets and keep track of everything they use.
• Team Player – Work closely with internal teams, users, and suppliers to resolve issues and deliver results.
What You’ll Need:
• Solid knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and infrastructure.
• Great communication skills – both written and verbal.
• A methodical approach to solving problems and strong attention to detail.
• A customer-focused attitude – friendly, helpful and patient.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities.
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
Experience:
• At least 3–5 years in IT support (Level 2/3).
• Experience supporting a wide range of devices: desktops, laptops, mobile phones, printers, IP phones, AV systems, and remote users.
• Hands-on knowledge of: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Citrix, JAMF, SolidWorks, Lucanet, and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with ISO27001 and Defstan 5-138 is a plus.
• Must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) upon employment.
Education:
Minimum: A-Level in IT, BTEC Level 3, CompTIA A+, or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
