My client who are based on this beautiful landscape with views over the harbour is an established and growing specialist-mechanical engineering company.
Their exciting and ongoing expansion has created an opportunity for a Stores Manager. This is an active management role where the incumbent will be expected to be appraised of all current and future company projects, setting in place efficient systems for the procurement and management of parts to meet the project requirements.
Managing a small team you will liaise with all areas of the business ensuring all movement of stock both in and out of stores is accurately recorded and the CRM is updated. A thorough understanding of budgets/costing is essential along with first class negotiation skills to achieve the best deals for the business. You will liaise directly with both customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues often being the first point of contact, monitoring the progress of all projects and customer accounts and reacting accordingly.
Adherence to ISO standards is paramount so attention to detail levels must be high along with the ability to drive these standards through your team. Proven success in a stores/stock control management role is essential along with a pro-active, conscientious approach and the ability to manage, motivate and lead a team.
The Salary on offer is dependent on the level of experience you can bring however applicants seeking a salary of between 28 – 32k are invited to apply.
