About the Role
We are seeking a practical, hands-on Production Technician / Engineering Operative to join our client’s growing team. This role is suited to someone with experience in a production or engineering environment who is confident using tools, working from drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
•Carry out production and assembly tasks as directed by the Production Manager.
•Identify and prepare materials required for each job.
•Monitor build quality and report any issues in line with company processes.
•Maintain accurate production documentation (route cards).
•Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
•Follow company operating procedures and health & safety requirements.
•Carry out basic risk assessments and work safely at all times.
•Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
•Use tools, equipment, and COSHH-controlled materials safely.
•Maintain and care for tools and workshop equipment.
•Travel within the UK and overseas as required.
•Undertake additional duties within your skillset as needed.
Qualifications
•Relevant trade qualification preferred (e.g. City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 or equivalent).
Skills & Experience
•Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
•Competent in the use of hand tools and powered equipment.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•Able to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
•Good awareness of health & safety practices.
•Basic IT skills.
