Our client based in Lymington has an immediate requirement for an Internal Account Executive to join their small but busy sales team.
The Internal Account Executive will have a proactive sales mind-set and be responsible for prospecting new customers for products working closely with the Business Development Managers, you will also be responsible for supporting the existing customer base through answering technical questions, answering leads, assisting them to capture opportunities and providing quotations. In addition, you will provide essential support providing cover for departmental absence, this involves taking over the order processing and expediting functions. 
Main responsibilities will include:

  • Understand the specific channels and customers appropriate for the companies range of products.
  • Understand pricing structure and how to quote customers.
  • Working with the commercial team, and external organisations to support customers.
  • Working in collaboration with the Sales team to respond to leads.
  • Working with the Business Development Managers to find new prospects for the company’s products.
  • Providing technical introductions to products.
  • Working with the Business Development Managers to find ways to increase the value of business they do with existing customers.
  • Working with the companies processes and systems to ensure effective communication of customer information and opportunity progress.
  • Understanding how to process and expedite orders to provide cover for the Internal Sales Administrator. 
  • Undertaking sales training to become a proactive and successful member of the sales team.
  • Undertaking technical training to be able to provide effective technical support.
  • Working with the commercial team providing market and competitor insight.
  • Providing customer feed-back to product managers.
  • Providing input to marketing campaigns. 

Applicants must have a keen interest in engineering and sensor technologies, experience of selling technical products, and knowledge of sensor electronics is an advantage. You will need good interpersonal skills, must be able to effectively work with team members and peers and have good communication skills using a variety of technologies including telephone and video call.
You must be numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
Experience or willingness to learn how to acquire new, commercially valuable, long-term customers.
Results focused, comfortable owning KPIs and presenting and explaining performance.
This is a full-time permanent position with an immediate start available for the right candidate. The company are offering hybrid working and flexibility with days and hours of working within given parameters. In return they are offering a salary of between £27k and £30k per annum for the right person, someone who can hit the ground running with all the skills and experience.
