Content writing in a corporate world is a fine blend of creativity and data-based practices. We’re looking for a Head of Content to join a company based in Bournemouth that operates an online professional network and research platform – targeted at the global investment management industry. The team will monitor market trends and keep an eye on the stock market and everyone loves a cheeky bit of data and numbers – they’re also a great bunch of people to work for.
Their business model is effectively an online platform/hub of knowledge, where investors, asset managers, consultants, and academics subscribe to and visit to gain access to the latest research and leadership advice from the 10,000 articles, papers, blogs and podcasts of information available at any one time.
You’ll also be trained entirely on the company processes and given an in-depth insight into their content partnerships by the current Head of Content, who will be leaving this post in the summer. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end!
So, this Head of Content role. What will you be doing?
– You’ll be managing a Content team of 4 people, collaborating to ensure everything published is first-class investment content for an institutional audience – they know what information they’ve come to get, (and even when they’re just browsing the latest news) it’s up to the team to provide the goods!
– Researching information and the latest trends in the Investment/Asset Management environment, to constantly produce relevant, contemporary information in the market. It’s imperative that the team keeps ahead of the news, as the platform is their members’ main source of current investment knowledge!
You’re not going to exhaust your eyes going through the requirements for this role. All that is needed is a background working in finance, investments or asset management, as you’ll be leading the team to new, innovative ways of presenting information to their clients, gained through your previous experience. You may have some burning ideas that you’d want to implement, and here you’re able to. The company is focused on having a “growth mindset” where discussion and open communication is the pivotal key to their success.
It does go without saying however.your grammar and spelling need to be of the highest level as you’ll be reviewing colleagues’ work before publishing!
