Salary: £35000 - £36000 per annum + Negotiable
We are currently looking to recruit for an experienced hands-on Accountant on behalf of our client based in the town centre of Andover.
Due to the nature of the business’s the successful candidate will be overseeing the group of companies (made up of 5 separate business’s) – this will also include running 2 separate payrolls. You will also be supported by an accounts assistant.
Our client is a small family run business with longstanding links and connections in the Andover area, therefore applicants with experience in working in small/medium size firms would be preferred.
This role is a full time permanent position based Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00.
Key duties include:
- Management accounts
- Month/year end processes
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Fixed asset register reconciliation
- Manage accruals and prepayments
- Manage cash flow
- Produce annual budgets
- Variance analysis/reporting
- Account reconciliations
- Purchase and sales ledger
- Weekly and monthly payrolls
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Supervision and training of the accounts assistant
- Experience using Sage Accounts & Payroll
- Preferably qualified – however part qualified and QBE candidates will also be considered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
