A varied and multi-disciplined position has become available working for a leading British family owned manufacturer based in Wincanton
The role requires someone who can wear two hats, as follows:
As a member of the design team, you would provide technical support to the sales office, and liaise with customers to ensure stock and bespoke items are designed correctly, priced competitively, drawings are prepared accurately and maintained effectively.
As a field service engineer, you’d make occasional site visits to support customers or repair equipment in the field.
Day to day on the design side you would be preparing quotes & technical drawings / schematics using AutoCAD, configuring test equipment, maintaining the design and test database and helping to support the business with (NPD). The other part of the job will involve completing site surveys, preparing pre-installation reports, provide toolbox talk to customers, and carrying out fault finding and electrical or mechanical repairs to equipment in the field.
You’ll need an electrical qualification, AUTOCAD knowledge/experience and the ability to perform fault finding / remedial repairs as and when required.
The role is full time, office based with occasional travelling requirements – they offer 25 days annual leave, a quarterly profit related bonus scheme and generous pension contributions.
