Our client, a rapidly growing yacht manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to assist in the commissioning of yachts to a standard which is ready for customer acceptance.
Your duties will include:
Inspection, installation and testing of on-board systems.
Rigging and sail setup and pre-delivery checks.
Checking for cosmetic snags or discrepancies.
Reporting back to the Commissioning & After sales Manager.
Working with the new owner on any modifications post-handover.
Communicate all changes to the build teams and the business in the form of ATOs, in a timely fashion, identifying potential impact to build and schedule.
Able to identify, and manage risks associated with the build, time lines, customer extra requirements that might have an impact on the agreed time scales.
To work always in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
Occasional boat valeting and general maintenance.
Occasional boat shows and office events.
You will need:
Knowledge of sailing yachts up to 60ft and confidence to handle vessels of this size is vital, along with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
Must be extremely organised and able to document and file documents in order to maintain clarity on all projects.
Accurate information gathering, and organisation
Ability to identify problems and gather as much information as possible.
Able to plan effectively.
Car Driving licence.
Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Ready to take instruction.
Motivated and enthusiastic, keen to contribute and to make a difference.
Based in Marchwood with salary DoE plus 20 days holiday and bank holidays and free parking.
