Role Overview:

The newly created CMS Web Content Editor is a key role at and for a fixed term of one year. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, they are the custodian of web content. The Web Content Editor manages the content and images across a range of branded platforms. They ensure the customer experience is at the heart of all web content design and implementation.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Collaborates with the Marketing and Design teams to plan, develop and publish web content (web pages, images, videos and reviews) style and layout changes within an enterprise level CMS – always ensuring the customer experience is maximised
  • Updating and maintaining content through our CMS – managing BAU content, creating new pages, assisting in the development of new designs & functionality, and resolving issues where possible
  • Ensures web content is well-maintained, accurate and up to date. Helps provides efficient and effective response and resolution to issues within the CMS and/or how content is displaying across out digital platforms.
  • Collaborate and maintain the accuracy of web data through conducting regular audits. Helping identify and remove inaccurate or out of date records, considering any front-end presentation layer implications and changes.
  • Help lead on the Content Management Systems (CMS) and provides expertise across the business as required, developing user-guides to aid understanding across the business.
  • Prioritises the user experience by planning and overseeing user-testing to ensure all website content is suitable for the relevant B2B/B2C customer.
  • Designs and implements changes and updates to web content based upon user-testing to improve content and customer experience.
  • Monitoring data integration within the CMS and liaises with the relevant stakeholders to troubleshoot issues swiftly.

Keys Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years web editing experience
  • Relevant web content degree and/or Marketing qualification (advantageous not essential)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • An understanding of HTML, CSS and web-publishing
  • Ability to work to pre-defined content and design guidelines
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • Understanding of web usability and accessibility
  • An understanding of UX principles
  • Background in both B2B and B2C would be desirable
