Our client, an international engineering company, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Support / Application Specialist to work with their customers and sales team.
In this role you would be responsible for helping customers understand the most appropriate products to meet their needs and the best way to use those products in their application. Also creating application notes and case studies that can be used by the customer without direct support.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
Understanding the capabilities and applications of the company’s products.
Providing technical support to current and targeted distributors.
Working with the company’s processes and systems (including CRM) to ensure effective communication of customer information and opportunity/issue progress.
Support existing distributors and key resellers with information about products and their compatibility with a wide range of applications.
Provide customer feedback in respect of product performance/quality.
Keep up-to-date with technical developments and changes to customer requirements.
Create general technical/application documentation and support the sales team in producing responses to requests for information and proposals.
You will require:
Relevant degree or equivalent.
OEM and distributor technical support experience.
Experience of using CRM systems to manage support activity.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Excellent listening, analytical and problem solving skills.
Clean driving license and willingness to travel as the business requires.
Demonstrable project management abilities.
Strong quantitative skills.
Skills to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
A high level of commercial experience.
Prior experience with applications using custom engineered electronics sensing solutions.
Prior experience in position sensing and liquid level.
Based in Lymington with salary £DoE plus benefits package and free parking available.
