We’re currently recruiting for Planned Maintenance & Engineering Support Co-Ordinator for one of our clients based near Bridport.
It’s a permanent role with the salary range of £25K – £35K with full training given.
Monday to Friday
8:00 – 17:00
(with occasional Saturday project work)
Purpose of the role:
To Supplement the electrical/mechanical engineering role of the company and work within a team of engineers to provide administrational support.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental is given a high priority and is considered in all plans, actions and activities. Play a key role in promoting health, safety and environmental awareness on site
  • Maintain a comprehensive Asset Care/Maintenance system to monitor, plan and co-ordinate the engineering activities with particular reference to cost control, manpower requirements, allocation of planned & preventative maintenance (PPM). Purchasing, progress chasing of raised orders and Goods Receipting of spares and materials
  • Schedule maintenance work into production plans
  • Provide assistance to engineering for spare parts preparation and PM lists for new equipment
  • Co-Ordinate plant shutdowns to attain all essential Maintenance schedules
  • Follow site contractor control procedures, for the management of visiting contractors
  • Support proactively all H&S Procedures and Policies
  • Management of departmental staff administrative duties, working under the aegis of the engineering manager. Including: administration of the departmental TMS system, staff holiday and time off in lieu (TOIL) management
  • Manage the technical archive in liaison with the engineering management team and transfer this to pdf format with document number and index system allow access from a pc, whilst taking care to preserve document control
  • Corrective action management following Statutory Inspections, external service inspections and follow on tasks from sites engineering team PPM activities
  • To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Essential requirements are:
Sound knowledge of business systems, time and attendance holiday planning purchasing goods receiving etc
To use initiative and being proactive and flexible
Retaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude in the face of challenge and change
Constantly looking for opportunities to improve
Being able to stay calm and resilient when under pressure.
Seeking to develop own skills and knowledge
Competent user of Microsoft Office suite.
