The role of the Operations Assistant/Fitter/Project Installation is to ensure goods in and out operate efficiently, and specifically includes delivery of finished goods to customers and setting out/fitting as required.
• Previous warehouse/furniture removal experience preferred
• Physical stamina required to lift furniture
• Prepared to work long shifts and overtime if required
• Good verbal communications
• Dependable and responsible
• Strong work ethic
• Thorough, alert and detail orientated
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Flexibility when following instructions on priority of workflow
• Basic first aid knowledge
• Ability to drive goods vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes preferred
Role and Responsibilities:
• Work under the direction of the Operations Manager
• Work independently and as part of team
• Loading of finished goods onto vehicles as required
• Ensure the goods are loaded and packed in a manner to ensure safe delivery
• Double check items to ensure the accuracy of outgoing orders
• Ensure vehicles are suitably equipped for the products being delivered and fitted
• Unloading of vehicles when returned from customers
• Ensure deliveries are suitably unloaded/received and placed in the appropriate designated areas
• Move products within the site as required
• Delivery of finished goods to customers, collection of goods to be worked on from customers
• Laying out of wide range of furniture at customers sites
• Fixing in place artworks, mirrors, blackboards and other artefacts
• Installation of fixed furniture and feature items
• Collection of items from various suppliers as required
• Help ensure the goods-in area and relevant equipment are clean and in working order
• Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Operations Manager
• Adhere to health and safety rules and wear protective clothing
• Locking and unlocking of the site as required
Type of role: Permanent
Salary: £ Dependign on Experiance up to £14/h
