Due to company growth our client, an international engineering company, is seeking an experienced Projects Team Leader to manage the development and integration of new product introduction including product improvements. Working closely with R&D teams to identify customer requirements and then co-ordinate and manage teams to ensure that Projects are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Develop and drive NPI projects through to completion.
Identify key project requirements and provide appropriate direction and support to meet objectives.
Deliver technical projects within budget and schedule constraints.
Interface with the R&D team, customers and suppliers as required.
Manage the NPI team to deliver the planned projects, including one direct report (Project Engineer).
Provide regular reporting to Management and Directors and other project stakeholders.
Promote new ideas and product innovation.
Be pro-active in driving Continuous Improvement activities within the business.
You will need:
Minimum BSc/BEng in Engineering or Science related subject.
A relevant Project Management qualification would be an advantage (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP).
Minimum of five years proven Project Management experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering manufacturing environment.
Able to lead, organise and motivate small teams to achieve objectives.
Ability to use initiative and communicate effectively at all levels.
Organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise effectively.
IT competency including MS Office and MS Project.
Based in Lymington with salary £DoE, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, benefits package and free parking available.
