Our client, an international engineering company, is seeking an Engineer who thrives on working within a production environment. This person will be pro-active in the introduction of new products as well as maintaining and improving existing products.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
Participation in New Product Development Projects, especially with regard to Design for Manufacture and Production start-up to include assembly area layout and jig design.
Identify and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes through the application of LEAN manufacturing techniques.
Create and update production assembly documentation for new and existing products.
Support the introduction of updates across all aspects of the business through the Engineering Change Note system.
Provide technical assistance to other areas of the business including Purchasing, Quality and Goods In.
Upload and maintain manufacturing data within the ERP system to ensure all information is reflective of current processes and methodologies.
You will need:
Degree, or equivalent, in relevant Engineering discipline.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Lean manufacturing experience.
ERP/MRP systems experience.
Problem solving skills.
Flexible and able to work both autonomously and in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency with standard computer applications.
Strong electromechanical experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
Experience with electronic based sensors incorporating embedded firmware desirable.
Based in Lymington working 37.50 hours Monday to Friday with salary DoE, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and free parking.
