Our client is looking to recruit an innovative and well organised Maintenance/Facilities Engineer to work as part of the team responsible for the site facilities, buildings, equipment and operations function.
Your duties will include:
Provide hands on experience, be prepared to undertake a large variety of tasks including administrative and practical.
Manage site facilities projects such as movement of rooms, repair, service and maintenance of on-site equipment.
Manage Technical Safety Systems.
Provide Technical Support for business-critical equipment.
Act as Duty engineer for 24-hour emergency call-out.
Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on site.
Manage Maintenance of Building and Mechanical & Electrical facilities.
Working with contractors to install new equipment.
Supervise specialist contractors.
Purchase, lead and execute installation of operational equipment.
Site Emergency leadership – responsible for ensuring that emergency services fully informed, fire protection systems fully operational, and the site & facilities made safe.
Lead site audits for relevant safety systems as required.
Responsible for managing equipment breakdowns – need to coordinate onsite and offsite resources to fix the problem safely, efficiently and professionally.
You will need:
Previous hands on practical electrical experience within an industrial environment.
City & Guilds 2330 level 3 certificate in electro technical technology-installation (buildings and structures) or NVQ Level 3 2356 or international equivalent.
Experience of three phase electrical distribution system.
Experience of reactive and proactive maintenance of mechanical automation systems.
Previous demonstrable experience in a wide range of facilities maintenance tasks.
Problem solving / troubleshooting experience
Valid IPAF & Counter Balance licenses would be preferred, although training can be given if required.
Very good level of Health and Safety Awareness
An effective communicator with ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels.
PC Literate at intermediate level in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook.
Flexible attitude and ability to work to deadlines.
Full Clean Driving Licence.
