Our client who is currently going through an expansion is seeking an experienced Book Keeper with excellent knowledge of Xero, a positive attitude and good communication skills.  This permanent position is full time 9am -5pm Monday – Friday based between both our Poole and Christchurch office’s reporting directly to the Finance Director. Salary: £DOE Job Purpose: To ensure all financial transactions are up to date and accurate in a timely manner, reconcile the bank account, ensure Purchase Orders are being used and accurately project costed, undertake credit control, process the payroll via Xero and to provide financial reports to the Directors. Joining our team as book keeper will require the skills and tasks listed but not exclusively limited to;

  • Ensure Purchase orders are used and accurately project costed
  • Creating accounts for new customers in Xero.
  • Support the production of applications to clients
  • Input all purchase and sales invoices
  • Allocate purchase and sales ledger cash to supplier and sales ledger
  • Prepare sale invoices
  • Complete the bank reconciliation
  • Complete the Cash Flow model updates
  • Payroll using Xero
  • Dealing with sales and purchase ledger queries in an effective and timely manner.
  • Effective and efficient credit control
  • Maintaining confidentiality of the business finances in a small team
  • HMRC VAT / PAYE / Pension complianceEssential Requirements:
    • Excellent working knowledge of Xero minimum of 2 years’ experience
    • Accurate data entry skills
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Highly organised, detail driven and effective user and improver of processes
    • Experience of Credit Control

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Experience of using Xero Purchase Orders to provide Project Costing
    • Demonstrable experience in invoice finance and mechanics of day to day management of the facility
    • Background in UK Manufacturing
    • Full or part AAT Qualification advantageous
