Our client, an international boat building company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to work as part of their finance team.

Managing a team of six your duties will include:
To ensure supplier invoices are processed by the Accounts Payable team on a timely basis and comply with internal controls.
To oversee the supplier payments process in conjunction with the Treasury and Procurement teams.
Support the Accounts Payable team with statement reconciliations on a monthly basis and help to resolve queries.
Improve processes and controls within the team and introduce new ones if required.
To develop the Accounts Payable team members by agreeing their objectives through the Performance Development process.
Provide cover for team members during annual leave and other absence.
Manage the recruitment process for the team when required and identify training needs.
Posting invoices and ensuring accounts are up to date.
Processing Accruals at month end.
New Vendor set up on SAP.
Change of vendors details and following up with procurement. Changes to terms checked weekly on SAP for invoices posted against old payment terms.
One-time vendors – approvals through to posting and payment. Reconciling accounts at month end.
Pulling out high vat invoices for posting when invoice posting is behind.
Reviewing invoices with Marketing for PO’s
Dealing with enquiries through email and telephone.

You will need:
Previous experience of managing an Accounts Payable team, preferably in a manufacturing environment with high volume processing.
A minimum of English and Maths GCSE’s.
Intermediate Excel and Word.
Intermediate knowledge of SAP.
Strong communication levels both written and verbal.
Well organised and efficient.
Able to work to deadlines.
